Years ago, doing yoga every day sounded like an unhealthy obsession to me. It was for crazy people. I hadn't yet experienced the emotional balance, spiritual grounding and the simple joy of getting on my mat every day. But when I tried it--when I got on my mat once a day, every day, and started feeling the effects--I never looked back. This made me want to share it with everyone, and eventually I became a teacher.
As many of you know, yoga is a powerful force for good. And daily yoga can quite literally change your life. Are you ready for a change? If so, what are you waiting for? There's a 30-Day Home Yoga Challenge with your name on it. (Did you feel yourself scramble? "I can't start today! I'm not ready. I don't have the stuff. I don't know what to do, etc.")
Pause for a moment and consider this: You are as ready today as you will ever be. You are ready, right now.
This is not hard. You can do it. All you need is
1) a space in your home about the size of a bath tub,
2) a few supplies, and
3) a desire to feel way better than you feel right now.
Of course, if you want individualized guidance and weekly one-on-one support, that can be arranged. But you can totally do this on your own. Here's a document that will give you pretty much everything you need to get started.
And just so you don't feel all alone, I've created a special 30-Day Challengers Facebook page just for you. If you're not a Facebook fan, no worries. Feel free to contact me with any comments, questions, or obstacles. I will do my best to help you get (and keep!) going. Let's share, post photos of our home spaces, talk about our successes, our failures, our getting-back-in-the-game stories. We might even share how your class experience is impacted. Because it will be. Think about it. You wouldn't expect to get very far learning the violin, if you only tried it while you were at your lesson. Why should it be different with yoga?
When you practice at home what you learned in class, the teachings and the body get to have a conversation. That conversation is what creates the kind of growth and progress that will astound you. So let's BEGIN. Let's roll out our mats and practice experiencing the practice of our lives--where mind, heart and body converge, and true yoga lives.

I respond to everything I receive here (usually within 24 hours, if not sooner), so talk to me. I'm listening.
